The girls earned their light blue petal by doing projects on being honest and fair. They began by playing a game. When the person said something true the girls would run to a smiley face and when the caller said a lie, the girls would run to a frown face. They then divided a pile of candy into fair amounts for every girl. The girls ended by dividing beads into fair and equal amounts and then creating a bracelet.

- Christina worked with the girls to earn their blue center patch to iron on their vest. Please purchase the vest and patches. They are a available at Nill Brothers Sports at 119th and Metcalf. The girls all earned their blue center patch, so this one can be ironed on. We will begin earning petals at the meeting in November!
- We had a quick parents meeting where parents filled out health history forms and a photography release form for this blog.
- Parents discussed helping come up with field trip ideas and helping the girls earn their badges. I will email out a sign-up sheet and idea sheet.
- Parents were asked to discuss if their girls were interested in picking a certain country for the International Fair in February. Christina and I need to sign up for a country by our meeting on October 16. If we don't hear from anybody, we will probably take Australia if it is still free.
- We discussed the skating party that will take place on October 28. Parents will need to fill out a permission form for their girls to go. The cost is $8.50 and includes skates, admission and a Girl Scout badge to iron on their vest.
